Name is spelled Hichcock in Wales. In 1733 he was given Bednall Green (100 Acres) which was obtained by his father, through a land patient filed in 1714 and granted in 1717. The land is located across the river from what is now Franklinville. In 1752 he gave his oldest son, Isaac 50 acres of Bednall Green. All of Bednall Green as well as 28 acres of Hitchcock's Hope (obtained in 1752) as well as 45 acres of The Grindstone (obtained in 1754) was deeded over to John Bond. It was a sad day as most of this land had been farmed by the Hitchcock family for 41 years. By 1755 most of the land around Joppa Town had been sold due to the decline in Joppa Port and the improverishment of the soil and many of the family members moved to the Carolina's and other places both north and south during the Revolutionary Period.spouse: >Slade, Susannah (~1709 - )
