The following is from a Hyatt Genealogy published in the late 1920s or early 1930s (Maryland or New York, I think, or perhaps Mass.) Part ll. Hyatt Genealogy, Section l. Charles Hyatt of Prince George Co., Maryland. Charles Hyatt of Prince George Co.,Md., immigrant ancestor, d. about 1726. The earliest record we have of him is found on page. 293, St. Jas. Par. register (A.A.Co.) which records the birth of his son Seth on "Sep. the 20th, 1694". Two other births are recorded in the same register. From this it appears that he resided in A.A. Co. prior to 1700. Mavorn Hills, 50 acres, was surveyed 3.12.1678, for Wm. Tukbury, in the woods westward of the land called Jerico. Poss., Chs. Hyatt of P.G. Co.(Rent Roll of A.A. Co., p.10). The subsequent births are recorded in Queen Anne's , P.G. Co., of wh. Parish Charles was Church Warden in 1706 and 1716. For land due him he was granted a warrent 1.18.1717-8; survey was made 3.5.1717-8; and on the 20th of July, 1722, "in consideration that Chs. Hyatt has due unto him 300 acres in our P rovince of Md.," he was granted by patent. by Chs, Lord Baltimore,the estate "Tewksbury" on the E. side of the Eastern Branch of the Potomac, P.G. Co. The last mention of Charles is a deed, 10.1.1724, in which he conveys property called "Bazingthorp Hall". His widow Sarah filed the inventory of his estate in 1726. Donna Rock, DLRCSJ@@aol.com, who lived in Lorain, Ohio as of this writing, reported that her 8th great grandfather was Charles HYATT who married Mary PRESTON.  Charles, Jr. who married Sarah TEWKSBURY was her y 7th great grandfather.  This Charles HYATT, Jr. is reported to be the immigrant ancestor of the HYATTs of Prince George Co, Md.  He died around 1726.  I am descended from his son Seth who was born sept. 7, 1694 probably in Ann Arundel Co, Md.  It is questioned whether Seth's wife was Sarah DUVALL or Sarah DUVALL.  Both surnames appear very often in this family lineage. My line of descent is from Seth's 3rd son Meshach.  Meshach married Sarah HOBBS.   I notice from records that the surname HOBBS is questioned in this matter.  My 4th great grandfather was Jesse HYATT, born 12/14/1763 and d 7/12/1813. Jesse HYATT was married to Ann RIGGS. Jesse and Ann's son Philip HYATT was my 3rd great grandfather.  He was born 10/1/1795 and md. in 1822 Rizpah NORWOOD WATKINS.  They had 12 children. Their son Luther LINGAN HYATT was my 2nd great grandfather.  He was born 5/21/1823.  He was married to Fannie SMITH. Their Daughter Luella was born 7/4/1855 and married Alonzo CLARKSON ROCK.  They are my paternal greatgrandparents.  They spent their married life in Ohio.  First in Carroll Co, Ohio and the remainder in Stark Co, Ohio in Canton, Ohio   I have taken the above information from the book WELSH, HYATT and KINDRED by Luther W.
