Provided by Betty herself... Betty Patton Boop90@@AOL.com Dear Bill, know I have written you before, but can't remember what info we've exchanged. I was just glancing through some things online yesterday + decided to look at the Hyatt page again since it's been quite some time since I checked in. I noticed that my Ewell Hyatt is listed there. At first, I thought maybe it was some of the info I had sent you, but noticed that Ewell's wife's maiden name and their two son's names were there. I didn't have that info before, so I'm sure there is someone else out there researching my same Hyatt's!!!! Thank God! Just to be certain that this is my Ewell Hyatt, I called my mom (84 years old) and asked her if she remembered Ewell + did she know if he had any children. She said yes he did have two boys and called them by name - so I know this is my Ewell.spouse: >White, Goldie Ethel (1913 - )Ewell Hyatt is my grandmother's brother. My grandmother was Nina Hyatt + she married Alex Foster on 26 July 1905. She was born 18 April 1886 in Naples, Scott Co. IL. She + Alex had five children - Duward Andrew b:29 April 1906 + died 23 Feb 1972, Vernon William b: 6 Jan 1908 + died 8 June 1987, Glen Donald (my father) b: 4 April 1914 in Monrovia, IA + died 26 Oct 1990, Gerald Alexander b:14 Jan 1920 + died 26 Dec 1969, Martha Isabelle b: 31 Oct 1924 - still living.
Ewell's parents were Andrew Hyatt b:19 Feb 1861 in Naples, IL died 15 March 1930 in Monroe Co. IA and Martha Isabelle Lynn b: 5 Aug 1857 + died 26 May 1951in IA. All this info has been verified by death certificates, family Bible (the Bible of Nina + Alex), marriage licenses etc.
I know I have at least one picture of Ewell as a young man and I think I might have another with the whole family, if any one is interested I will be happy to have copies made.
Hoping to hear from you soon.
