Bernice Bryant graduated from Udell high school in 1923. Bernice was a member of the First Baptist Church in Centerville. She was employed by Kemble Floral Co. from 1932 until her husband purchased the business. They owned and operated the business from 1949 to 1962. She had been ill with multiple sclerosis 18 years and had been a patient at the care center since 1975. She was a member of the Business and Professional Women's Club. He was a active member of the First United Methodist Church in Centerville serving on the administrative board, the evangalism committee, the visitation committee and was head usher when health forced him to retire. He was a resident of Centerville for 51 years at 811 Soutn 16th Street. He was the owner and operator of Bryant's Skelly Service Station on the corner of Drake and Maple for 36 years. Thayne was a 45 year member of the Elk's lodge. He died of a malignant brain tumor. He graduated from Udell high school and moved to Centerville at the age of 20.
